Today, the Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism and the University of Talent have outlined plans for the coming year. The meeting between Andrei Nazarenko, Vice-Rector for Research and International Activity of the university, and the delegation of the university headed by Adeli Akhmetova, Acting Head of the University for Talent, was held at the joint laboratory of the parties.

Let us remind you that in October 2022, Volga Region State University and Talent University launched a year-round medical and biological support for promising athletes and children who are about to receive specialized training in sports. These studies are conducted in the universities' joint laboratory at the National Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sports at the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The results of such studies help coaches select athletes, monitor their general and special preparation, and adjust their training process to further improve their performance.

The list of tests includes determination of body composition, physical performance and fitness level of an athlete as well as genetic diagnostics of endurance.

Through these tests, sports physicians and physiologists determine the performance level of young athletes, their adaptation to different loads, and the response of the cardiovascular system to maximal loads.

These tests not only help to identify athletes' potential, but also monitor their functional status and detect early signs of overtraining and chronic overexertion.
