On November 25-27, the "Moscow - Karate Universe" international competition was held at the Gymnastics Palace of Viner-Usmanova in Moscow. Anna Chernysheva, the student of Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism, won the deserved first place on the podium.
The format of "Moscow - Karate Universe" tournament was based on the system of "Premier League" series competitions, where athletes in each discipline were divided into 8 groups, 4 people in a group. In each group competitions were held in a round-robin system (each against each other), after which group winners advanced to the quarterfinals.
The girl won the gold medal in the 18+55kg category.
More than a thousand competitors from 21 countries were taking part, but that didn't stop Anna from achieving her best result.
