The Tatarstan Trade Union leaders were tested at the TRP Centre of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. The event was organised by the university and the Tatarstan Republican Organisation of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education. Among the participants of the event were Chairmen of Trade Union Committees of HEIs and their Deputy Chairmen.
Participants enthusiastically performed exercises and cheered and supported each other while going through the test. As a part of the event, guests got acquainted with the university and its infrastructure and discussed further plans for the development of inter-university cooperation on the trade union line.
"The Trade Union Organization of Employees of the Volga University of Sport and Tourism is the youngest organization, which only starts its active work. Therefore, it is especially pleasant that the new project dedicated to healthy lifestyle is initiated by them. The Republican Organisation of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education welcomes all initiatives aimed at improving employees' health. After the pandemic we understand even more clearly how fragile human health is. It is a resource that is easy to lose and difficult to restore," said Tatiana Korniichenko, Chief Specialist for Work with Trade Union Organisations of Higher Education Institutions at the Republican Trade Union Committee.
Danir Islyamov, chairman of the university trade union committee, in turn, noted that such events will be held systematically.
"This is the first event in the cycle of the health promotion programme for trade union members. The next event will be held in November. It will be a lecture on healthy eating. A healthy lifestyle is the secret of healthy longevity," comments the chairman of the trade union committee of Volga University.
