The day before, a match in the third round of the Student Football League of the Republic of Tatarstan was held as part of Healthy Wednesdays. The University of Sports met with the Chelny Branch of KFU and won with a resounding 11-0 score.
The head coach Valery Pokaninov shared his impressions and commented on the game: "Today we've had a mini-soccer championship among the three institutes, and then there was the Student Football League of the Republic of Tatarstan, where our team won with a score of 11-0. The fans were great, I haven't seen such support for a long time. This shows that the educational and sports activities at our university have reached a new level!
