Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering hosted a round table on "Participation of the Youth of Tatarstan in the Implementation of the Plan of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia" at the site of the Urban Planning Research and Design Centre. The event brought together heads of councils of young scientists and student scientific societies of Kazan's universities and production enterprises, activists of youth policy at the regional and federal levels. The round table was attended by Adel Abdrakhmanova, Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, graduate student, Olesya Kochkareva and Valeria Kapustinskaya, Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Student Scientific Society, and Elena Tarasova, Senior Lecturer of the Medical and Biological Disciplines Department.
Welcoming remarks were made by Rashit Nizamov, Rector of Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, Albert Gilmutdinov, Assistant to the President of Tatarstan, Vadim Khomenko, Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Lyudmila Rybakova, member of the Regional Political Council of the United Russia Party, Deputy Chair of the State Council Committee on Education, Culture, Science and National Issues of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Nikita Marchenkov, Chairman of the Coordination Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education of the Presidential Council on Science and Education, made a presentation "The Decade of Science and Technology in Russia", and talked about contests and key scientific events for young people.
