As part of the Russian Rowing Cup, which took place from July 1 to July 4 at the Rowing Sports Center, a match meeting of two student teams took place - the Volga Region University and the Moscow Aviation Institute. Teams of universities competed for the championship at a distance of 500 meters in boats of the class "two-" (without a helmsman). The crew of the University of Sports – Dmitry Drozdiuk and Egor Emelin, in a hard struggle came to the finish line one second faster (1:58.8 vs. 1:59.6) and took the "gold".
Recall that the Cup of Russia, which brought together 350 participants from all regions of the country, was attended by famous athletes – silver medalists of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Anna Prakaten and Elena Oryabinskaya, as well as finalist of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Alexander Vyazovkin.
