The all-Russian gymnastics day was traditionally celebrated on October 31 at one of the facilities of the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism – the Federal gymnastics training Center. For the seventh year in a row, students and teachers of the University, as well as invited guests, celebrate this date.
This year's guests of honor were Almaz Galimov, Vice-rector for academic Affairs of the Volga region Academy, Natalia Grechannikova, Vice-rector for administrative work and social development, and Robert bikmukhametov, Dean of the faculty of sports, master of sports of the USSR in gymnastics.
During the holiday, students of several areas of study of the profile Department showed their skills: representatives of sports, artistic, aesthetic gymnastics, acrobats, as well as acrobatic rock and roll athletes.
The gymnasts did not forget about the anniversaries of the year. Congratulations were received by candidates of pedagogical Sciences, associate professors, KMS in gymnastics Tatyana Zayachuk and KMS in rhythmic gymnastics Lilia Konovalova, Honored coach of Russia in rhythmic gymnastics Marina Borzenkova and Honored worker of physical culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, coach of the SSHOR "Grazia" Lyudmila Sidorova.
As part of the holiday, 17 certificates of masters of sports of Russia were presented. Among them are seven female students of the Academy. This Evelina Akhtyamova, Elizabeth of Maksakova, Daria Maiorova, Zinaida Mayorova Anna Using, Ramin Pronin and Iliana Karimov.
The coveted document was presented to the athletes by the Director of the gymnastics Center, Vice-President of the rhythmic gymnastics Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Lilia Shafeeva and acting head of the Department of theory and methods of gymnastics, candidate of biological Sciences, master of sports of Russia in gymnastics Lyubov Botova.
The holiday ended with a Grand flash mob, during which students congratulated gymnastics veterans with a big dance number.
"This year we had to gather veterans in an online format," says Lyubov Botova. - On the one hand, it became a restriction, not everyone was able to get in touch, on the other hand, it expanded the geography of participants of the holiday. Grateful colleagues, representatives of the older generation, got in touch with the response from St. Petersburg. Valery Krainov, candidate of technical Sciences, CMC in gymnastics, thanked us for the opportunity to get a positive charge of energy and creativity during this difficult time. For the first time, the gymnastics Day was held online at two sites at once – in the Instagram accounts of the Department of gymnastics and the faculty of sports. Its viewers have become more than a thousand people and the number of views of the holiday recording continues to grow. I think this is a positive experience that affects our career guidance and work to attract potential applicants to the Volga Academy. "
