On January 27, the head of the Department for sports work, Professor Alexander Chernyaev celebrates his 70th birthday.
I was raised on the street. My childhood was spent in the 50s and 60s in the warm, port Astrakhan, cut by rivers, with bridges on which trams went without doors. It was considered chic to be able to jump into a moving tram and jump off it on the move. They caught fish, of course, sold it to their grandmothers, advertising: "Cats and cats buy fish for a Nickel!".
I started jumping into the water, although I didn't know how to swim yet. In the 50s, it was fashionable to be able to jump into the water from a tower. You were supposed to be cool, not afraid... So I started doing this sport before swimming. We did everything we could. Water Polo, hockey was played in the winter, although the winter is warm there, below 5 degrees does not happen. And in summer, when the wind blows "Afghan", in 40 degrees of heat, the feeling that everything is 45.
He could easily get into bad company. But thanks to sport, I escaped. Although, in Astrakhan, as in any southern city, many criminal personalities came. I was a quick-witted, ruffian, and participated in yard "battles". But at school, I started playing sports: I played football, basketball, wrestling, and diving. Since the 6th grade, I was interested in athletics, went to competitions. He played in various sports for the school. Including pushing the core. My mother didn't send me anywhere in particular, making sure that I didn't contact anyone from the criminal world. But everyone on the street knew that I was doing sports, and there was no time to hang out.
I never smoked. Although almost all my friends in the yard, school smoked from an early age. Sometimes they let a cigarette go around in a circle, and when they reach me, they pass it by.
My friend made me dream about higher education. He went to another school, we went swimming together and met the MS standard. And he entered the University after the 10th grade, and then it was considered very cool! I was not left at school after the 8th grade. And I went to study at the craft as a Turner, although in fact I mostly performed at throwing competitions.
I was engaged in Boxing for some time, performed at competitions, was a prize-winner of the city. My friend and I studied with the same coach. My friend later became an Olympic champion. But at some point I realized that Boxing is not my thing. Since 1964, he concentrated on athletics. He defended the colors of the "Spartak", was registered at the ship repair plant. In those days, it was considered prestigious to perform at the Spartakiad or the USSR Cup - by today's standards, these are major international tournaments!
We didn't think much about the future. We lived as we live. I realized that I wanted to be a coach when I finished my trade and decided to go to a pedagogical school in order to get a higher education.
For me, my sports career ended in Volgograd, in the last year of the Institute of physical culture. I went there after I graduated from the pedagogical school and served in the army in a sports company. During these years, I continued to compete in track and field events. We often played basketball in training, with throwers, strong guys At one of the training sessions, playing, one hit me in the knee. At the same time, I did not think about the prestige of my future profession. Just sports tightened. After the injury, I did not worry much, by that time I had already met my future wife, was going to go to Moscow with a friend, work preparing for the Olympics-80 or stay in Volgograd to work as a coach. But then everything was decided for us. They called the Dean's office and said that the distribution had come – to Kazan!   We arrived with my wife, looked at it, and promised to help with housing. Decided to stay.
I have said for many years that it is temporary in Kazan.  After all, at that time Volgograd was considered a larger city and a status city. But here is so "temporarily" and lived here entire Mature life.
I am against children being sent to sports at 3-5 years of age. I always say: you can't fool a person's physiology! Previously, people started playing sports from the age of 12-13, the guys came to the sections from the streets-strong!
Results in athletics are growing because training and recovery techniques are being improved. Experts recommend how and when to increase the load, when to reduce it. Otherwise, injuries can not be avoided. Everyone has their own characteristics, the muscles react differently. At a high level, this affects the result.
Two components are needed for the result: a capable athlete and a great coach. Sometimes these tandems can sometimes be stagnant. Sometimes an athlete goes to another coach. But the transition does not always guarantee the result. It is better to overcome pride, step over yourself and reach a new level.
I knew anatomy perfectly well, taught it in Latin, and went to the anatomical Museum. The coach must have knowledge, but everything else comes with experience. Great coaches are made through trial and error.
Parents send their children to sports for money. They have nothing to do with sports and say to the coaches: "the same one has reached the top, and why can't mine? That's not how you train!". But not everyone becomes a physicist or violinist, although all children have the makings! The coach must fully disclose them.
While working at the University, I went from a teacher to a Vice-rector. For more than 42 years, I have been providing all kinds of educational, methodological and organizational assistance to student-athletes. Both in school and in the training process. When I was the head of the Department and curator of training groups, with my direct participation, student-athletes successfully performed and perform at competitions. Many became winners and prize-winners of the Russian Championships. Giana Romanova won the European champion in 1978, and became the silver medalist of the world Cup in 79th in athletics, Gulnara Samitova in 2008 won the Olympic games, Maria Petrova won the world and European weightlifting Championships, Sadi Ismailov twice, in 2017 and 2019 became the medalist of the World summer Universiades.
The most correct thing to do was when I went to Moscow to defend my thesis and was told that a Moscow teacher should be appointed as the head. I replied that my managers were in Kazan. I had great teachers. Because they were sports people. Physiologist Peter Dubiley (at the age of 33, he became a doctor and Professor). When I brought him the first work on 10 pages, he left one and a half of them, saying that the essence is in them. He did not wait for my protection, died suddenly, and then Zufera Urazaeva told me: "Sasha, go to Moscow, no matter who will be your leader, in memory of Peter, defend yourself!»
I have prepared 5 candidates of science. For this, he received the title of Professor. I consider this one of the main things done.
Anniversaries are frequent. The further away, the more often…
