A delegation of the Voronezh state Institute of physical culture headed by the University's rector Alexander Sysoev visited the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism on a working visit. Together with the rector, the heads and employees of all key departments of the University came to immerse themselves in the details of the work of their Kazan colleagues. During the day, the delegation visited the sports facilities and dormitories of the Academy in the Universiade Village, and completed the acquaintance with a tour of the educational and laboratory building.
The meeting hall of the Academic Council of the Volga region state Academy rector Yusup by Yakubova and heads of departments took the opportunity to get an idea not only about the experience and creating your own educational model, but also the history of the University. Judging by the questions, what they saw and heard impressed the guests. Elena Chesnokova, adviser to the rector of VGIFK for strategic development, shared her impressions with the press service of the Academy:
- In short, we can see that a system has been created here, there are system-forming, key people, there is a vision of where to move, how quickly and with what results. There is an understanding that innovations are a way of life, that they structure and systematize everything. This was important for us, we are satisfied with the information received and are grateful for the warm welcome and openness in sharing the experience. The magazines mostly tell success stories, and few people talk about what mistakes were made. In this regard, your experience is very valuable. Thanks! I would not say that our universities are equal. We are a small University, and we achieve efficiency on our own scale. But what we are similar in is the strategic intent, vision, and fanaticism of the rectors.
Alexander Sysoev, rector of the Voronezh Institute of physical culture, also highly appreciated the results of his visit to the Volga Academy:
- It was important for me to show the team the scale and details of the Volga Academy's work. I have experienced pleasure from the fact that people "feel and taste" of your experience. You don't usually believe in fairy tales... and then the distrust that my colleagues felt for my stories disappeared. And if you take into account the mentality of students that each of our industry universities faces, you can imagine how difficult it is to leave this mentality in the past and to implement educational programs in a new way. There is respect for the Manager who so thoughtfully, thoughtfully formulated the tasks and sequence of steps leading to success. The same applies to teachers and employees. For example, an exchange of views with your Vice-rector about the implementation of educational work at the University made me, as a coach-teacher, look differently at the essence, goals and objectives of this work. I respected his principled position. But the main distinguishing feature of your University for me was its digitalization. It determines the performance of each Department. This experience was especially important for us, because we plan to introduce electronic systems at home starting from the next academic year. We have serious work to do with personnel in this direction. It is clear that we have different scales, but the issue of distance learning has been solved in your University brilliantly. I have only been in charge of the University for six months, and working on the development strategy, I believe that the digitalization of the educational environment is the main step today. And you have implemented it better than anyone else in the country. All systematically, of course. And this is a recipe for healing from many diseases.
