Today, the Academy concert hall hosted the final panel of the Ministry of sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was attended by the head of the sports Department of Russia Pavel Kolobkov and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Rector of the Volga region Academy of sports Yusup Yakubov made a report on the topic "Training of a modern coach: challenges of the time".
- Preparation of the sports reserve remains one of the key issues on the Federal agenda in the industry, - said Yusup Yakubov. - The results here directly depend on the coaching staff, whose training and qualifications are responsible for the country's sports universities. According to the task set by the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Volga region Academy has become a center for continuous development of coaches ' competencies.
Yusup Digansheevich told the distinguished guests and the sports industry professionals gathered in the hall about the Academy's " model of training specialists, which is based on a combination of education, science and sports»:
- The educational component obliges our students to use modern remote technologies, to be involved in project activities, to form an individual trajectory of their development based on playing, judging, coaching experience and training disciplines focused on practice. The scientific component involves the student's involvement in research work and the study of subjects of the medical and biological cycle: anti-doping, biochemistry, physiology, etc... The implementation of the sports component consists in creating a sports environment in the University and having a constant competitive practice among students.
The rector also noted the high material and technical equipment of the University, without which the progressive educational model could not be implemented:
- Thanks to the presence of sports facilities, which are our production base, we do not just accept sixty major competitions a year. We include students in the process of preparing and conducting tournaments of the highest level as organizers, judges and volunteers. Here they acquire practical skills by observing the work of world-famous coaches and athletes from the inside. This is also their professional experience…
In his address to the Board, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan also spoke about how the sports infrastructure in combination helps in solving important state tasks. first of all, he expressed gratitude to the Minister of sports of Russia for coming to Kazan:
- For us, it is a very high assessment that the Federal Minister sums up the results and gave a high assessment of the work of the sports core of the Republic... We see the results. 1.5 million people play sports. The goal is to bring the number to two million. If the President of the country has set a goal to increase life expectancy to 78 years, there will be no other way. A person should lead an active lifestyle. To do this, we need to create conditions for normal life, revenues must match, and infrastructure... the Task of bringing the number of people involved in sports to 2 million is not difficult for us to solve. We create infrastructure and train specialists. We have a great Academy for this...
Russian sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov, in turn, began his speech at the Board with an unexpected recognition:
- My first visit to the regions immediately after the new year holidays took place in Kazan. It's always a pleasure to come here. I don't just feel at home here, but ... at home. Therefore, welcome to our Volga Academy! 
The Minister continued quite seriously, noting that Tatarstan is a role model for the development of the sports industry:
- You are an example of a systematic and effective interaction between the Federal center, the Ministry of sports of Russia, the regional Department, and municipalities. 10 years ago, Tatarstan chose sport as a priority of state and regional policy. And for 10 years, you have been clearly and systematically moving towards this goal. All that Vladimir Alexandrovich (Minister of sports of Tatarstan, Leonov, approx. ed. ) today reported, I confirm. You are a leader in almost all indicators... At the recent sports Council, the President of Russia paid serious attention to the management system. Our main development opportunities are in the system management approach. In Tatarstan, this approach is at a very high level. You are an experimental groundbreaking platform for us, where we jointly implement innovative projects to create tennis and badminton academies... these are important projects that can be scaled up across the country. But this is possible only with such a correct management approach…
At the end of the Board, a solemn ceremony was held to honor the best representatives of the sports industry of the Republic who achieved significant achievements in the past year. Among them, a master's student of the Volga Academy, wrestler Dinar Karimullin, who was awarded the title of master of sports of international class, and Dean of the faculty of distance learning Oleg Solomakhin, who was awarded the gratitude of the Minister of sports of the Russian Federation, took the stage.
