The first medal of the world Cup stage in the 2019/20 season was won by Milena Bykova, a master's student of the Volga Academy of sports. In Switzerland, on the skuol ski resort track, the 2019 Universiade champion was third in the parallel giant slalom.
Following the results of the qualification, Bykova reached the final with five other Russian snowboarders. In the 1/8 final Milena with a microscopic margin of 0.01 sec. she walked around the track's owner, Ladina Jenny. Having overcome the quarterfinal barrier, "Akademik" in the semifinal met on the track with compatriot Sofia Nadyrshina, who according to the results of the qualification took a more winning position, and in the end, overcame the track faster than Bykova. Germany's Malani Hochreiter won the small final.
