From 1 to 3 November in Kazan at one of the facilities of the Volga Academy of sports, in the Palace of water sports, the world Cup in swimming was held. 
From Tatarstan on the world Cup the big team acted: Grigory Tarasevich, Alexander Krasnykh, Irina Prikhodko, Andrey Nikolaev, Daria Golovina, Nikita Korolev, Alexey Merzlyakov, Igor Lebedev, Olesya Korchagina, Irina Zlobina and Daria Golovina. Swimmers study at the Volga Academy of sports and train on the basis of their University. 
Athletes of the Academy successfully performed at the home stage. Alexander Krasnykh, Grigory Tarasevich and Anna Egorova (representing the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) won three "gold" and six bronze medals. 
Egorova won gold in the 400-meter freestyle. Her result is 4: 08.93.  Two-time world champion in the short water Krasnykh won two "bronze" at the crown for themselves distances-200 and 400 meters freestyle.  The leader of the Tatarstan national team noted that he came only because the stage takes place in his hometown. "For us, the Russian championship is more important, it is the selection for Europe," he said.  The world Cup is prostanovka. If it were not for Kazan, we would not come at all." 
He performed moderately. He won two bronze medals in the 200 and 400 metres freestyle. Competition and the structure was not the most serious, so third place is not a reason for joy.
"Time showed not really, satisfaction from result isn't present, – he told. "I'm not in the best shape yet, I need to recover."
Tarasevich won two "gold" in the individual 100 meters backstroke and in the 4x100 meters relay, as well as a "bronze" in the 200 meters backstroke. The 24-year-old took four bronze medals at the previous three stages of this year. This summer Tarasevich also won "gold" at the Universiade in Naples, becoming the best in the 100 meters backstroke. 
In parallel with the world Cup there are stages of a new competition in the world of swimming-commercial starts of the International Swimming League. Grigory Tarasevich likes the ISL format more than the world Cup. But the Krasnykh yet to participate in a new project do not want: "to Me it is not so interesting. Money? Not all are so Mercantile."  Tarasevich, like many other swimmers, has to combine starts in the ISL with world Cup stages and other official tournaments. As a result, Gregory has one or two tournaments a week. "I'm tired, but it's okay –" Grigory said. - The main thing is to prepare properly. Now I'm getting in shape for the world Cup. Starts decently, so we need to train different situations in the pool." The beginning of the season – the Olympic. In may, the qualifying championship of Russia will be held, where they will choose the roster for the Olympics in Tokyo. Therefore, every start of this season is a preparation for the Olympics. "There is a slight jitters, – said Tarasevich. – I try not to think about the Olympics yet, it's easier. Yes, it seems to be far away,but time is less. The atmosphere is heating up, there is serious competition in the national team. Closer to the summer will be a tough fight."  Tarasevich shows steady progress. At the Kazan stage of the world Cup he won two "gold" and "bronze". "I do not consider it a great success," – said Gregory. 
Tarasevich used to study at two universities at once. In Kazan in the Volga region Academy of sports he is trained as a coach. In America, he studied aerospace engineering at the University of Louisville. After receiving a bachelor's degree as an engineer, Tarasevich planned to go for a master's degree. But so far he has abandoned these plans. "I decided to concentrate on sports. Once it turns out, " he said.
On November 5 in The Palace of water sports the national championship on which some students of Academy of sports act started. Grigory Tarasevich in the second day of competitions won "bronze" on a distance of 100 meters on a back, and the graduate student Andrey Nikolaev finished the third on 100-meter breaststroke.  Following the results of the championship, Russia will form a national team for the winter European championship, which will be held in December in Glasgow, Scotland.
