The next stage of the world Cup in swimming will be held in Kazan from 1 to 3 November at one of the facilities of the Volga Academy-in the Palace of water sports. One of its participants will be "academician" - Grigory Tarasevich. As a member of the Russian national team, he has already won four bronze medals at three stages of the world Cup in swimming this year. The world Cup is held in seven stages. On the second - in Chinese Jinan Tarasevich took the third place on a distance of 100 meters on a back. On the fourth - in Budapest finished third in the 200 meters backstroke and 100 meters. At the fifth stage - in Berlin, Tarasevich was again third in the 200 meters backstroke. In the summer the athlete-the prize-winner of the European and world Championships-won" gold " of the Universiade in Naples. Now we are waiting for his performance in Kazan, together with another student of the Academy, representing Tatarstan in the Russian national team - Alexander Krasnykh.
The stage of the world Cup at the DVVS site will continue the starts of the national championship from November 5. After a successful performance in Saransk at the swimming championship of the Volga Federal district, where students "academicians" brought more than 20 awards, the list of participants of the championship of Russia-representatives of the Volga Academy expanded.
Undergraduate Ernest Maksumov showed the best result in the 400 meters and became a silver medalist in the 200 meters freestyle. Medals of all merits were won by master's student Olesya Korchagina. At the distance of 50 meters freestyle she was the best, 50 meters breaststroke swam second, 50-meter butterfly showed the third result. Irina Prikhodko also has three awards at the end of the championship: "gold" in the 400 meters crawl, "silver" in the 800 meters and "bronze" in the 200 meters. Alina Sitdikova was third in the 200 breaststroke final. Daria Golovina finished second in the 100m breaststroke.
Alexey Merzlyakov took part in the winning men's combined relay for the Tatarstan team. And Golovina, Korchagina and Irina Zlobina won the 4x50-meter freestyle relay and became silver medalists in the women's 4x50-meter combined relay.
Golovin and Korchagina won the relay silver in the mixed combined 4x50 metres relay, and Merzlyakov, Prikhodko and Korchagina in the mixed 4x50 metres freestyle relay.
Following the results of the championship, Russia will form a national team for the winter European championship, which will be held in December in Glasgow, Scotland. In the championship of Russia in the application from the Republic of Tatarstan seven students of Academy: Nikita Korolev, Alexey Merzlyakov, Igor Lebedev, Vyacheslav Malkovsky, Olesya Korchagina, Irina Zlobina and Daria Golovina. Members of the Russian national team Grigory Tarasevich and Alexander Krasnykh will strengthen the team at the national championship. Anna Egorova, a student of the Academy, will represent the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug at the competitions.
