Head of the Department of physical and mathematical disciplines and information technologies of the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism Marat Galyautdinov won a grant from the government of the Republic of Tatarstan on the program "Algarysh" and in February 2020 will go on an internship at the Latvian Academy of sports pedagogy.
It should be noted that a track in Riga has already paved the head of the Department of the theory and techniques of gymnastics Love Botovo, who stayed with the Latvian colleagues a year ago.
The program of grants "Algarysh" provides financing of training, retraining and training of Tatarstan citizens in Russian and foreign educational and scientific organizations. The program was launched in 2006 on the initiative of then Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The grant can be obtained, including teachers and researchers of universities of the Republic. It is only necessary to convince the organizers of the competition that they will return from a foreign trip with useful knowledge that will help to bring the relevant industry to a new level.
Marat Galyautdinov directs the master's program "Sports Analytics"starting this year in the Volga region Academy. This case is new not only for the University, but also for the entire Russian system of physical education. There is no separate course on sports Analytics in any sports University in the country. And the Latvian Academy of sports education (LASE), by the way, the partner of "Volzhan" in the International Association of universities of physical culture and sports, has neither more nor less laboratory of information and communication technologies, on the basis of which the collection and analysis of various data of the training process. Familiarity with the work of this laboratory is the main purpose of the trip to Riga Marat Ildarhanova. During the visit, he intends to attend several classes on information and communication technologies in sports, technology and research methodology, as well as participate in research on the analysis of biomechanics data, sports performance analysis.
And, of course, to establish cooperation and exchange of information between Kazan and Riga scientists. The Volga region Academy is interested in long-term partnership.
- The main scientific direction of the Department of Informatics and biomechanics of the Latvian Academy is the study of biomechanical models using the apparatus of mathematical statistics and data analysis (for example, with the help of statistical programs SPSS, Statistica), - says Marat Galyautdinov. - Data analysis is carried out to improve sports results, to give recommendations during training and competitive processes. Head of the Department of Informatics and biomechanics Professor Janis Lanka is well known in the field of biomechanics of sports. He is a pupil of the outstanding scientist with a world name in the field of sports Vladimir Zatsiorsky. Look forward to hearing and meeting with the authors of the article "Use of Smart Socks (smart socks) for data collection and analysis during walking and running", the teachers of the Department of Informatics and biomechanics Edgars Valters Burdensom and Abolished.
Smart Socks is a vivid example of the use of so-called IoT technologies ("Internet of things" or gadgets) in data collection. This, according to Galyautdinov, is a potentially very promising area of cooperation with LASE.
Well, sports Analytics is a promising and popular direction, both in education and in sports. Not coincidentally, seven of budgetary places this summer, claimed 43 people. The competition was 6 people per place. According to Marat Ildarkhanovich, the specialists trained by the University will help to make the work of all institutions and structures of the sports industry of the Republic more effective by assessing their strengths and weaknesses and presenting the benefits and risks of use in the form of analysis results.
For reference: the Latvian Academy of sports pedagogy (LASE) was founded in 1921. Today it is the only University in Latvia, which trains specialists in sports. Diplomas of education obtained in LASE are recognized in Europe and around the world. The advantage of the University is a quality higher education in English.
