Silver medalist of the all-Russian football competitions among student teams was the second team of the Volga region Academy of sports, repeating last year's result.
The final tournament of the competition (in the new season it will be held under the auspices of the National student football League and called the all-Russian division) was held in Krymsk simultaneously with the final interregional tournament of The Premier group NSFL-2018/19, in which the first team of the University under the leadership of Ayrat Gainullin fought for medals on the fields of the sports complex "Giant".
Alas, in the first match, the wards Gainullin lost the chance of the title, losing to students from Grozny ChSU (0:1).  In the next match, the "academicians" confirmed that they were considered the main contenders for the medals, playing a draw (0:0) with the current Champions of the NSFL, The KubSU team, which eventually took second place. This match was probably the most spectacular in the tournament. Krasnodar students claimed the championship twice, this fight was a victory. But the "academicians" were not going to give the Cubans points, as still claimed medals. As a result, not being among the winners, we took part in the distribution of seats on the podium: yufu won the championship for the round before the end of the championship thanks to a draw in the match of the Kuban state University and the Volga region Academy team.
In the concluding fixture of the tournament with the St. Petersburg students from Spbgutd "academics" showed bright football, beating the rival with the score 5:3. As a result, we took the fourth place in the final standings. Note that at the end of the final tournament of the NSFL the best goalkeeper was recognized as the goalkeeper of "academicians" Anton Chernov.
Well, the second team of the Academy under the leadership of Dmitry Denisenko, equipped with students who have not played for the first team, confidently overcame the quarterfinal and semifinal stages of the final tournament of the all-Russian football competitions among student teams. In the first match of "academics" defeated the Siberian transport University in Novosibirsk (2:0), the second – team URGPU-NPI from Novocherkassk (0:4). And in the final met the stubborn resistance of students of the Voronezh state technical University, to crack the defense of the opponent failed, and they made a productive mistake in defense: in the end, the defeat 0:1 and missed the chance for the trophy. "Academician" RADIS Sabirov was recognized as the best midfielder of the tournament.
