The traditional autumn scientific Olympic session was held in the educational building of the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism. It was attended by University students from Kazan, Almetyevsk and Naberezhnye Chelny.
11 scientific reports on the Olympic theme were presented at the conference, which was the first stage of the Olympic session. The speakers offered to discuss the issues of the world Cup heritage, anti-doping measures in Russia, changing the design of medals and other interesting topics. For example, those who are not indifferent to gymnastics have the opportunity to get acquainted with a full analysis of the countries-winners of the Olympics in this sport, starting with the first games of our time.
A student of the Volga Academy Regina Galeeva talked about the psychological meanings of rituals in sports from the scientific rostrum. Almost all athletes have superstitions and signs. Thanks to this research, the participants of the conference learned about ritual spells under the blanket of Elena Isinbaeva, ice habits of hockey players and figure skaters.
Ainur Sharafutdinov, a student of Almetyevsk College of physical culture, in his report "Olympic dynasties of the USSR and Russia" analyzed the influence of genetics on sports results, studying the pedigrees of famous sports families, where both parents are Olympic Champions. The winner of the competition was a student of Naberezhnye Chelny pedagogical University Taras Kavteladze. The participant compared the efficiency of using sports facilities and other Olympic infrastructure facilities built in Sochi and Korean Pyeongchang. According to Taras, the long-term program developed in preparation for the games in Sochi helps to fill the hotels and stadiums of the Olympic complex. In this, according to the author, the Kazan experience of the organizers of the Universiade-2013 with Their concept of the heritage of the world student games helped the Sochi residents. But in Pyeongchang, according to Kavteladze, they did not look so far, and now they are experiencing problems with the effective operation of Olympic facilities. The Olympic session is a great way to immerse yourself in the special world of Olympic history. Especially the second, "informal" part – competition "Experts of Olympism"has to it. Here the teams of nine universities fought for the victory. Test questions and a blitz survey for the team captains identified the semi-finalists who fought for the three final places in the competition " where is the logic?". Participants were asked to find out in 30 seconds what unites the three images presented to them for discussion. The main prize went to representatives of the Almetyevsk College of physical culture. It remains to admit that real experts of the Olympic movement live and study in the oil capital of Tatarstan.
