On Friday, the Volga region Academy of sports hosted the annual all-Russian sports marketing forum Sport Connect-one of the main events in the world of the sports industry - held annually by the Interros campaign. The initiators of its holding in the capital of Tatarstan was the electronic newspaper "BUSINESS Online" in partnership with the Volga Academy of sports. The forum was attended by domestic experts, as well as experts from Spain and Finland. Geography of participants from Kazakhstan, Perm, Ufa, Krasnodar, Samara, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The moderator of the forum has become a popular sports commentator of TV channel "Match TV" Denis Kazansky.
Rector of the Volga sports Academy Yusup Yakubov was one of the speakers of the forum. In his speech, he spoke about the dynamics of the University and its opportunities that guests were able to observe, having been on the eve of the sports facilities of the Academy.  The rector shared with the participants information on various components of the consolidated budget, noting that the Volga region Academy is a major taxpayer for the Republic, contributing to the budget about 435 million rubles.  The Academy earns about half of its income from sporting events.  The other half consists of major Federal events of a corporate and creative nature. Such corporations as Gazprom, Sberbank, Rostelecom and RZD have been cooperating with the Academy for several years.
The rector also explained to the audience the choice of new specialties for the University, the recruitment of which will be carried out for the next academic year. Referring to Kurban Berdyev and Shamil Tarpishchev, Yusup Yakubov stressed that there is a high need for trainers in functional diagnostics, so the Academy begins to recruit such specialists for training. Responsibility for the implementation of this master's program will be borne by the Department of biomedical disciplines, which has a young and promising head. Another educational experiment will be held at the Department of physics and mathematics, where the new school year will prepare sports analysts.
"Such forums should be held in Kazan," Yusup Yakubov commented on the participation in the organization of the Sport Connect forum.- Remaining the sports capital of Russia, it is necessary to comprehend the processes taking place in the world of sports. For specialists in the field of sports marketing, who became participants of the forum, it was useful to communicate with foreign colleagues. It was important for us to hold this forum in terms of educational technologies, because we have a Department of sports management. Pleased with the reaction of the guests. They were not only impressed by our infrastructure, but also appreciated its content and systematic approach to development. Sport Connect for the first time reached Tatarstan and stopped at the Volga Academy, I hope, not for the last time".
The moderator of the forum, popular sports commentator Denis Kazansky shared his impressions: "Everything went just fine, there were many interesting cases. We have a stingy marketing market, especially in the regions. There is a real need and people can learn a lot of interesting and useful things. That's awesome."
