The Cup will be held for the first time from 14 to 16 September at one of the facilities of the Volga region Academy, in the ice Palace "Zilant". The tournament, which participants will be teams "West", "Center", "Volga region" and "East", formed from the strongest players born in 1996-2002, representing more than 40 teams of the Student hockey League, will launch a new season of the Student hockey League.
The opening ceremony will be held on September 14 at 19: 00. Honored guests of the opening ceremony will be two-time world champion, multiple champion of Russia in the team "AK bars" Aleksey Morozov and two-time world champion, winner of the USSR Cup, honored coach of the USSR and Russia Yurzinov Vladimir Vladimirovich.
The team of "Volga" was included three students of Volga Academy of sport: Valery Muratov, Aristarchus of wolves and Aidar Nizamiev.
The Cup Of opening of SHL is held with the support of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The organizers of the tournament are: ice hockey Federation of Russia, Student hockey League of Russia, Regional youth public organization " youth sports society "Burevestnik" of the Republic of Tatarstan, Student hockey League of the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to the results of the opening Cup of SKL, a team of SKL will be formed to participate in international tournaments, including the XXIX world winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. Fans at the opening Cup SKL expect an autograph session with the participation of Aleksey Morozov and Vladimir Yurzinov, colorful opening ceremony and entertainment with a drawing of valuable gifts from the organizers.
