On September 7, the 2018 FINA world Cup starts in Kazan. Competitions will be held at the facility of the Volga Academy, in the Palace of water sports. They will be attended by about 250 athletes, including a Quartet of students of the Volga region Academy.
Russia, Tatarstan and the Academy of water sports in Kazan will be represented by Nikita Korolev, Ernest Maksumov and Gleb Karasev, another student of the University Adelaida Pchelintseva will represent the national team of Kazakhstan. It should be noted that the starts in Kazan are missed by Aleksander Krasnykh and Grigory Tarasevich, who got time to rest after a busy competitive summer period.
The participants of the world Cup in Kazan began to arrive ahead of time, and this was used by the organizers, offering "stars" to hold master classes for students of local swimming schools.  So with the young swimmers of the sports school "Aquatica", based in the Palace of water sports talked to the representative of RT in the Russian swimming team, silver medalist of the European Championship in Glasgow Egor Kuimov and Olympic champion in 2016 in the relay 4x100 meters, American Blake Pieroni. "Stars" swimming not only gave the guys professional advice, but also talked about their lives outside the pools: Hobbies, personal video channels on the Internet, favorite sports, culinary dishes, etc.
The next day, two-time Olympic medalist and multiple world champion, Australian Mitchell Larkin held a master class for students-swimmers of the Volga Academy of physical culture and sports. According to the senior lecturer of the Department of water sports, head coach of the Academy swimming team Maksim Dedlovsky, the event was attended by more than 70 students-"academicians" students. 30 of them – in the water, the rest-on the side.
- Of course such meetings for our students is important and interesting, says Delovsky. – They give food for thought, motivate for professional improvement. After communication with the best today representatives of our sport – and, not only from abroad, but also classmates Sasha Krasnykh, Grigory Tarasevich-some children think that it is possible to reach heights and on a trainer's field.
