Students of Volga Academy Darya Malykhina, Olga Komarova became winners of the championship of the projects in the sphere of tourism "Youth tourism project in 2018" organized by Russian state University of tourism and service (rsuts) in official partnership with the chamber of Commerce and industry of the Russian Federation.
The best projects of the championship were determined in four nominations: "Startup in the field of tourism and hospitality"; "Research project in tourism and hospitality"; "a Social project in the sphere of tourism and hospitality"; and "a Project in the field of IT technologies."
The jury consisted of representatives of RGUTiS, CCI and business structures working in the field of tourism business. The championship was held in two stages. The first (correspondence), which ended in March 2018, included the preparation of projects, submission of applications (description and presentation of the project) and their consideration. In assessing the jury was guided by such criteria as relevance, originality of the solution, innovative nature and the possibility of practical implementation of the project, the availability of estimates for its implementation of the project with a specific justification of costs, the presence of partners in the implementation, the possibility of commercial implementation and the level of professionalism of developers, etc.
In total, the competition received about 150 projects,in the second, full-time, stage of the championship were 48 best. Among them are two students of the faculty of service and tourism of the Volga region Academy. They presented their works in the nomination "Social project in the field of tourism and hospitality".
Daria Malykhina developed the project "Inclusion in tourism" (scientific Director Professor of the Department of service and tourism Zulfiya Safina), Olga Chumarova - "the Miracle of football: behind the scenes"(scientific Director associate Professor of service and tourism Lada Rozanova).  
"Inclusion in sport" is a tourist program for people with disabilities, which operates on the principles of social partnership without the participation of the state. One of the partners, according to the author, should be the Volga Academy.
"The miracle of football: behind the scenes" - a tourist route through the football stadiums of Kazan. Including a tour of the Kazan arena and the Rubin Academy. The project is also aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The program of the second stage of the championship included a fair of projects, during which the participants presented their works with the help of pre-prepared advertising and information stands and brochures and answered questions of the guests. The next item of the program was the conference, during which the participants defended their projects before the jury: read the reports that reveal the essence of the projects, and answered the questions of experts.
It should be noted that the age limit allowed participation in the competition, both students and young teachers. As a result, Daria and Olga were among the winners of the championship, and as a prize received from the organizers an invitation to undergo training in specialized universities in Prague, Karlovy vary and Dresden.
