On June 12, the day of Russia, students of the Volga region Academy took part in two events dedicated to this holiday: in Gorky Park, where the traditional parade of foreign students was held, and on the site in front of the family center "Kazan", where a test event was held with the participation of popular music groups "Murakami" and "disco Accident". We tested the fan zone of the world Cup, where the FIFA fans Festival will open tomorrow, June 14.
A group of "academicians"-foreigners traditionally went to Gorky Park for the action. Among them, the 2nd year student of the faculty of service and tourism, Jeren Ovezova from Turkmenistan. She also participated in the parade of foreign students last year. She believes that such actions should be carried out, although in Kazan neither she nor other foreign students have ever experienced problems with adaptation in another country.
-Nevertheless, it's great when foreign students in national costumes come to the parade on June 12, - says Gergen. – I brought mine to Kazan and I am happy to demonstrate it. Such events help people to learn more about the rich culture of other countries. This time the Academy was represented at the parade by students from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Syria and Iran. The weather last year was, of course, better (she laughs), but otherwise everything is also great. To be honest, when I made the decision to go to Kazan to study, as well as everyone, I probably had fears: how things will turn out. But everything is fine so far. We have created a club of foreign students in our University, where we communicate, make new friends, try to help each other if there are problems. However, we have very good relations with the local guys, they are always ready to help, sincerely interested in everything related to my country…
On the square in front of The Kazan family center, another group of students of the Volga region Academy celebrated Russia Day on June 12 with the accompaniment of famous Russian musicians together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The head of the Republic, by the way, in his Instagram after visiting the fan zone posted a video performance of a graduate of the Volga region Academy and the master of football freestyle Linara Gasanova. Among those who were located during the event next to the head of the Republic was a third-year student Gulya Akhmedova.
- I liked the fan zone very much, the President of Tatarstan first spoke to the audience in the square, congratulated on the day of Russia, and then went down and when the anthem was performed, stood next to us. And then we listened to the songs of the group "Murakami "and lit under"Disco Accident". Everything is very fun and cool!
