The Pedagogical Council of the Volga Region University College was held on the threshold of the beginning of the academic year. The College Director Alsu Zheltyakova summarised the results of the last year, noted that the quality of students‘ academic performance was 67%, and outlined plans for the year: development of extracurricular activities and improvement of teachers’ qualifications. At the meeting, research teachers were also recognised - they were awarded UNESCO letters of appreciation for their scientific and educational activity.
‘The main objective of the college is definitely quality education. The college continues to participate in the UNESCO Associated Schools Network, and this year we plan to hold a conference with the participation of project representatives. Also ahead of us is the passing of state accreditation of four VET educational programmes. We will continue to organise ‘Talking about important things’ and a career guidance extracurricular activity ‘Russia - my horizons’. We also plan to involve students in the all-Russian movement ‘Movement of the First’,’ said college director Alsu Zheltyakova.
