On the eve of the regional stage of the military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa", the team of the college of the Volga Region University won "bronze" in the Spartakiad in military-applied sports for children and youth "Alignment to Victory". The competition was held among patriotic clubs.
Let us recall that the military-patriotic team of the college of ten people and two reserves trains under the guidance of the Center "Voin", honing both physical skills and specialized military-applied skills.
At the Spartakiad, students showed themselves in marching, relay race and historical test. As noted by first-year student of the college Ilya Kraynov - commander of the student military-patriotic team, the most difficult, but interesting stage was the relay race, which required specialized training.
It consisted of several stations to overcome obstacles - participants ran, jumped, crawled, assembled and disassembled a machine gun, pulled themselves up on horizontal bars. And at the end of the relay race, medical knowledge was tested – after providing first aid to a team member, the students had to run with a stretcher to the finish line, where they also demonstrated shooting and grenade throwing skills.
- We are very happy with our place. I think this is a very good result, as we saved our strength for the regional stage of "Zarnitsa", which started on May 19. I think if we had performed at full strength, we would have taken first place, - emphasized Ilya Kraynov. - Team spirit plays an important role in military-patriotic games. We have united and are holding on tightly to each other. As the saying goes, one twig is easy to break, but a broom is much more difficult.
