The new academic year is approaching: students from all over Russia are coming to Povolzhsky College. More than 130 people moved into the dormitory on August 29.

Last year, university students helped the first-year students move in, and this year, second-year students are accompanying the newcomers.

This is not the first time we have helped with the move-in process, because we remember well how we experienced this difficult moment ourselves,’ said Valeria Shchelkonogova, chair of the college dormitory. - We accompany the guys from the door of the hostel to the door of the room, help them to hand in the necessary documents and carry their things. Freshmen are sociable - you want to make new acquaintances with them.

During settling in, students socialised with each other, made new friends and met old comrades, and exchanged experiences with newcomers.

‘I came from the Nizhny Novgorod region to Povolzhsky College because I consider it prestigious. Check-in was organised: the sophomores explain and prompt us, walk us to our room. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I think the move-in process is important - it reflects the relationship between students,’ said Yana Sidneva, a freshman at the college.
