On December 20, the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism hosted the closing ceremony of the Year of Native Languages and National Unity in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Throughout the year, the University hosted a number of bright, memorable events dedicated to the Year of Native Languages and National Unity in the Republic of Tatarstan. This is a poetry contest, the jury of which included poet Rinat Haris, and meetings with the editor-in-chief of the Kazan magazine, poet Albina Absalyamova, journalist and poet Ayrat Bik-Bulatov and director of the Galiaskar Kamal Theater Elfir Yakupov. In May, a Gala concert of the I regional ethno-cultural student festival "Creativity of Peace and Harmony" ("Iатat asha tynychlyk ham berdamlekka") was held on the stage of the big concert hall.
To summarize the results of the year, the organizers also invited interesting guests. The program of the evening was opened by the actors of the Tatar State Theater of the young spectator named after Gabdulla Kariev, who performed a fragment from the play "Zeitunake". And the deputy director of the Youth Theater Lilia Garayeva addressed the students and guests with the following words: "Our republic is distinguished by the fact that more than one hundred and seventy nationalities live in it in friendship and harmony. And it is very important that everyone feels comfortable living in their native land. It is very important in this regard that we celebrate various national holidays together. This is precisely the friendship of peoples, when we support each other in everything and live in peace and harmony.
Of course, the evening traditionally included performances by students with creative numbers. The winner of the city competition "Living Classics" Pyotr Mikhailov read a poem by Gabdulla Tukai in Russian. The festive concert and, as always, the bright and incendiary performance of the folk dance ensemble "Yaz" were decorated.
It should be noted that all these events were organized by two humanitarian departments of the sports university - the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics, the University information Resource Center and the student cultural center.
Head of the Department Venera Volchkova, summing up the results of the Year of Native Languages and National Unity in the Republic of Tatarstan, said:
- Today, on this stage, the students proved that there is a very close and eternal relationship between languages and culture. And, of course, we were able to see this thanks to you - our guests and teachers!
According to the head of the information resource center Yulia Zubkova, the outgoing year has shown that truly creative personalities study at the Volga Region University of Sports:
- How many great poems were read in our coworking, including his own composition. I am especially pleased that this year the information resource center has become a place for meetings and communication of creative youth. A place where the doctrine of national unity, tolerance, respect for the culture of other peoples finds its embodiment in specific people and relationships.
