On the basis of the Volga Academy of sports and the University of Central Lancashire held a video conference: "FIFA world Cup Russia: experience of sports management and marketing."
On the part of the British University made presentations on "world Cup 2018: visual Ethnography", "Review of the 2018 world Cup: a look from the outside", "Management of the world Cup in Russia" and "Marketing approach and influence within the 2018 world Cup". Foreign students shared their impressions of what was happening at the tournament in Russia and cited various figures of the championship. Speakers noted great interest in the main tournament this summer, noting that 2.9 million football fans from other countries visited Russia. In one of the presentations discussed the interest of foreign audience to the world Cup. So, students of Lancashire University gave information that only at the BBC over 10.5 million viewers watched the matches of the 2018 world Cup.
After the speeches of representatives of England on a straight line was the Volga Academy. First with the theme "the Impact of the 2018 world Cup to develop football in the Republic of Tatarstan" was made by the Deputy Minister of sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Mingulov. In his presentation, he spoke about the legacy of the tournament for Kazan and high interest in the match and the entire championship in the city. According to him, half of the 254 thousand spectators of six Kazan matches were foreigners, and the Kazan fan zone took 800 thousand people for a month of work.
Also from the Volga Academy was another report with the theme " FIFA Ambassadors as an effective way to promote the event." It told about the importance of promoting the tournament in the country by media persons of Russia.
At the end of the reports thanks to the teleconference it was possible to hold a discussion in the format of a round table. Representatives of the Academy talked about the importance of volunteers ' work during the whole tournament and gave some advice on the successful holding of the next world championship, which will be held in 2022 in Qatar.
