Specialists of the center of additional education of the Volga Academy of sports undertook to Shoe on part of knowledge of tourist routes and sights of Kazan of professionals in the field of translation.
To make translators fluent in foreign languages, professional guide, capable of a good, say, English, to tell visitors about the monument of architecture of Kazan: the order entered in the CDE from the state Committee of RT on tourism. The curriculum of 144 hours, developed at the Department of service and tourism of the Volga region Academy and is designed for three months. It started in October and will end in December. 50 people who speak one or more languages out of 10, stipulated by the terms of the grant, entered the study. What are the languages defined by the customer. The state Committee on tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, based on the available statistics, found out which countries tourists visit Kazan in the largest number. The list includes Farsi, French, Japanese, Arabic and other languages. Those wishing to take courses passed a language test in order to confirm that they speak a foreign language at an advanced level.
The program includes both theoretical and practical classes. The theoretical part of the course is taught in Russian, but students practice in foreign languages. Upon completion of the course, students will receive the appropriate certificates of guides and interpreters who have passed refresher courses. The presence of such a document is an important factor. In principle, anyone can organize and conduct a tour of Kazan for foreigners. But not in such tourist centers as the Kazan Kremlin, where only accredited specialists can work.
Head of the Department of service and tourism Lyudmila Petrik believes that the joint project of the state Committee on tourism and the Volga region Academy is an important component of the development of the tourism industry in the country:
- I think that we will conduct courses at a high level. This will allow us to strengthen the industry with a group of specialists in the field of excursion services who speak foreign languages.
