For the first time in 2018, the Federal Agency for youth Affairs held a competition of University-wide applications for the implementation of grant programs in 11 nominations relevant to civil society. Of the seven projects presented by the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism, three received support.
In total, 380 higher education institutions participated in the competition, 313 of them were able to implement their projects at the expense of the Federal budget. The total Fund of the competition in 2018 amounted to 4.5 billion rubles.
Federal experts worked on the evaluation of more than 2.5 thousand applications submitted by Russian universities, evaluating them according to 10 criteria. More than 1000 projects received support. Following the meeting of the competition Commission of Rosmolodezh, the winners were named three projects of the sports University, the implementation of which started.
Already in October (26-28.10.2018) the Volga region Academy of sports together with the Russian Union of martial arts and sports federations of the Republic for seven sports will hold all-Russian student games of martial arts, gathering on the basis of the University representatives of such popular among young people areas as Aikido, karate, kickboxing, Kyokushin, Sambo, Thai Boxing and Taekwondo-VTF from all over the Volga region. Within the framework of the project, athletes-students will be able not only to demonstrate their own capabilities, but also to immerse themselves in the history of various martial arts (through online courses), as well as to obtain judicial categories. As part of the business program, it is planned to hold a round table on the development of sports among students and, of course, attract fans and students. Applications for participation in the Games can be sent through the regional federations for the declared sports.
On November 23, the testing center of VFSK GTO of the Volga Academy of sports will hold a regional stage of the Festival of the all-Russian sports complex "Ready for work and defense" among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. The festival will traditionally be held at the site of the training and sports complex "Burevestnik" and will bring together representatives of universities of the Republic to meet the standards of TRP, promote the idea of introducing the complex and the formation of the youth movement among students. In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, among the objectives of the festival is also the preparation of qualified teams of judges for the reception of standards, as well as the release of a collection of guidelines for assessing the physical fitness of students from the teachers of the Volga Academy of sports.
Until the end of the year will be implemented another project, the authorship of which belongs to the Department of adaptive physical culture and life safety of the Volga Academy of sports. It concerns the training of mobile pedagogical teams from among the students of the University to participate in the sports and cultural program "sports Express". The project involves long-term cooperation with educational institutions of Tatarstan for children with disabilities. Within the framework of the project, 8 specialized pedagogical teams will be prepared, which will unite more than 200 volunteer students. Their efforts in 10 specialized schools of the Republic will be held sports and cultural events, and for the staff of educational institutions and parents of their pupils teachers of the Department will hold seminars. The research conducted within the framework of the project will form the basis of work on the creation of the center of mobile pedagogical units, which in the future will be able to carry out social patronage of pupils of boarding schools, to accompany their sports and tourist training, as well as to promote their intellectual and creative development. About 500 students with disabilities are planned to participate in the activities of the project.
