Students of the Volga region Academy of sports and tourism Timur Kiyamov and Aleksander Boborykin became the winners of the tennis tournament "Tatarstan Open-2018" with a prize Fund of 15 thousand dollars, which opened a series of competitions, which in non-stop mode will be held in August at the facilities of the University – the tennis Academy and the center of beach sports.
"Tatarstan Open-2018" started on July 27 with qualifying matches, and ended on August 7. In addition to Kiyamov and Boborykin it was attended by four students of the Volga Academy: Gulnara Nazarova, Anastasia Chikalkina, Nikita Valentsev and Sergei Bolotov. Gulnara Nazarova paired with Kuznetsova Aleksandra reached the semi-finals, which lost to Maria Krupenina and Anastasia Tikhonova. Chikalkina, Valentsev and Bolotov finished performances in the tournament in the first round of the main grid.
Timur Kiyamov and Aleksander Boborykin in the tournament final, defeated Mihail Fufygin and Denis Matusevich in a match that lasted 1 hour and 41 minutes with the score 6:7(5), 6:1, 10:5.
No sooner had the Tatarstan Open in 2018, as tennis Academy kicked off another tournament with a prize Fund of 15 thousand dollars – "Kazan Kremlin Cup 2018". And again on the clay courts of the complex were students of Volga Academy: Nikita Valentsev, Timur Kiyamov, Aleksandr Boborykin, Anastasia Chikalkina, Sergei Bolotov and Gulnara Nazarova. Unfortunately, Chikalkina was not able to break into the main grid through the qualifying sieve. And Kiyamov and Boborykina his campaign for another title began with victory over the tandem of Nikolai Kovalyov Nikita and Valencia. But in the single category of partners are formed in different ways. Kiyamov, alas, left fight in the first circle, having conceded to Evgeny Tyurnev with the score 4:6, 6:7. Fourteen years old began with a win over Dmitry Voronin – 6:3, 6:1.

On August 17, the beach tennis tournament "Kazan World Grand Prix" will start in the center of beach sports, the prize Fund of which will be $50 000.
