More than 70 reports on the development of football in Russia and abroad were presented at the scientific and practical conference "Modern football: the state, prospects for innovation and development prospects", which completed its work at the Volga region state Academy of physical culture, sports and tourism in Kazan on June 30. The discussion was attended by specialists of different football profiles (science, administration, coaching, management) from France, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, India, Belarus and Russia.
Welcoming the guests and participants of the conference, the rector of the Volga region Academy Yusup Yakubov outlined the main priorities of the conversation: "football is very popular, including In Russia and Tatarstan. The Volga region Academy of sports prepares football coaches who will have to solve new problems, developing the sport in the regions. Now we have 113 students studying at the football Department. Among them there are pupils of football club "Rubin", players of professional clubs. Much work is being done with the student football team of the University, which is entrenched in the Top division of the National student football League. Since the new academic year, the Academy will open the Department of theory and methodology of football and hockey, so we are interested in all aspects of methodical, organizational, competitive and scientific activities of leading football specialists. And, of course, we are ready to exchange ideas and experience in the implementation of successful projects in the field of football. I hope our colleagues will please us with them. The potential of our University is huge and holding such scientific forums contributes to the creation of the Volga region Academy corresponding to our ambitions atmosphere of competition, creativity, desire to develop and improve", - concluded the rector.

Rafael Ilyasov, FIFA assistant, expanded the discussion by telling about his experience of refereeing at the 2010 FIFA world Cup. Representatives of the scientific school of Azerbaijan Ilgar and Saadet Aliev shared their experience of their research on the performance of teenage players. For the first time, the representative of the rating analytical Agency EasternScout Agency (ESA) Alexey Seliverstov presented to the conference participants in Kazan the data of the research of the effectiveness of the leading football academies of Russia. The work of the conference continued in three sections and ended with the final meeting, where the participants noted the quality of the organization and content of the scientific forum.
