Two crews of the main Russian rowing team are preparing for the world Cup in Kazan. One of the sports objects of the Volga region Academy of sport, Centre of rowing sports for two weeks became a platform for preparations for the launch in Belgrade for two consisting of: Vyacheslav Michalewski and Dmitry Kuznetsov; and the Quartet, composed of: Artem Kosov, Nikolay Pimenov, Paul Sorin and Alexander Vyazovkin. Next to the leading rowers all may train youth and youth national teams of Russia. Among members of "Junior" students of Volga Academy of sport Smolensk Polina, Elizaveta Starostina, George Semchikov and Sergey Cherepkov.
The head coach of the Russian rowing team Nikolai Spinev "visited" his wards on the Kazan rowing channel and after a conversation with the rector of the Volga region Academy Yusup Yakubov, shared his impressions:
 - I first visited here before the Universiade, when the center just appeared in Kazan. After the appointment of the head coach immediately set the task to the teams to prepare for the competition. This is important when athletes are preparing for the start-up in the same place as they are chasing. Last year we brought to Kazan the qualifying starts and the youth team has already been prepared and selected for the world championship here. This year two crews of the main national team are preparing for the performance at the world Cup for the first time at the Kazan base. So we pull the youth to the base. There are no claims under the terms. I hope that the training camp in Kazan will yield results. Much depends on the calendar and tasks in the preparatory period. If the calendar provides for early access to the water, then we, of course, can not start a team here for technical reasons and go to warm countries.  But Kazan rowing Center can and should hold competitions, including international ones. The conditions here are fully consistent with all standards. And also work as a training base, which provides a full range of services. This is a sports component, and social (housing and food), and recovery.
As part of the main Russian national team for the world Cup preparing Kazanets Artem Kosov.
- I don't want to share my impressions, - Artem said. - And what I heard from my teammates.  Last year I asked the young men who were gathering here: "How is it here?"Answer:"All is well." Clarify: "How's the food?"Cool, say. Overall impression: there is everything to hold training camps and international competitions. From the point of view of logistics, everything is cool here.
- Everything is fine for you from this point of view…
- No, because I live in the Aircraft building area (laughs). Far away! But seriously, from my point of view, in Moscow, for example, it is not very right to hold the training camp. Too much distraction. And in Kazan everything is going well for me. Everything according to the plan, any hitch wasn't.
