Today in Smolensk starts the annual festival of universities of physical culture-the main start of the season for specialized academies, institutes and universities of the country, subordinated to the Ministry of Sports. A team of 15 people went to Smolensk from Kazan. Our delegation is headed by the head of the Department for sports work of the Academy Alexander Chernyaev.
Last year the "academics" at the end were the fifth. To enter into number of prize-winners have prevented the injuries to the students, not allowing them to pass the obstacle. But there are both victories and prizes in the history of performances of our University. According to the associate Professor of the Department of theory and methods of gymnastics and wrestling, one of the coaches of our team, Lyubov Botova, the Volga region Academy is traditionally considered one of the favorites in the fight for first place. In order to become the winner of the festival, the participants need to show the best result in the amount on the basis of performances in five competitions: "Athletic improvement" (student sports all-around), "Overcoming the band of professional tests" (running on a log, upside down, shooting, shot put, long jump), Olympic legacy (test competition on knowledge of the sport), sports the hit parade on the theme "the world championship on football-2018. Welcome to Russia" and "scientific creativity of youth" (competition of scientific reports). The sports competitions involve teams of 3 boys and 3 girls (points are considered in separate and team competition), in the test competition – a team of 7 people, in the hit parade of sports and theatrical performance accompanied by a video will be performed by a group of 8 people, the scientific report was prepared by Anastasia Halina.
In Smolensk, the Academy team went in such a composition: Alexander Kryukov, Alain Samarin, Regina Melnikov, Diamond Sharafutdinov, Alexander Sitnikov, Venus Zaitsev, Dmitry Silkov, Victoria Schmidt, Irina Yashina, Catherine Platoshkina, Maria Safonova, Sergei Shaikhutdinov, Aidar Nizamiev, Evgeny Menshikov and Anastasia Halina.
Today, may 17 will be held competitions in three types of programs: "Overcoming the band of professional tests", "Sports improvement" and a sports hit parade.
In the program of the second day, may 18, the competition of reports "scientific creativity of youth"and" Overcoming the band of professional tests".
May 19 will be a competition of sports experts "Overcoming the band of professional tests" and will award the winners.
