Deputy Minister of sports of the Russian Federation Sergey Kosilov visited the Volga region Academy of physical culture. Accompanied by the rector of the Academy Yusup Yakubov, he visited all training facilities, talked with the heads of various departments of our University. And in the center of rowing sports it was waited by the Russian national team on an academic rowing and its trainer's staff.
At the end of the inspection Sergey told about his impressions of what he saw.
- The impressions are excellent. Such structures and in such a state! God grant it to be so in the whole country.
- How do you assess the transfer of objects of the Academy and the organization on their basis of educational processes?
- The use is absolutely correct. The combination of theory and practice is always bearing fruit. And when the theory separately and practices separately... that would not be good. When students see the example of the best athletes, what happens in teams, they learn and begin to imagine what they do in the future, how to work as coaches and teachers.
- Do you have any idea how else to use the material and technical base of the Academy?
- No, it just has to be used. And rationally as possible – reaching the objectives in the establishment of the Academy.
- What, in your opinion, is the scientific potential of the Volga region Academy based on what was seen in its walls?
- Laboratories, equipment is a base that requires constant improvement. Any appliances become obsolete. Technological progress is moving forward very quickly. We should try to get results that could be used now. But it is also necessary to constantly monitor all innovations and changes.  Otherwise, six months from now, you'll be behind.
- Have you talked a lot with the staff of the University today, made an impression about human potential?
- And here continuous improvement, retraining is required. But the important thing is that our eyes glow, there is a desire to work. So, the prospects in this regard are very good.
