All nonresident students of the Volga Region University are accommodated in residential cluster “C” on the territory of the Universiade Village. These are 8 multi-storey residential buildings with a total area of 86 thousand square meters. m., with a total number of places - 3700, which were commissioned on September 1, 2011. Students will be provided with places in rooms designed for 3-4 people.
The Universiade Village is a completely new complex format for Russia, designed for students to live, study, work and have active recreation. The residential complex is located in the Volga district of Kazan and borders Sorge, Parina, Mavlyutov streets and Pobeda Avenue. The microdistrict is served by public transport - bus routes No. 47 and trolleybus No. 8. Travel time to the city center is 45 minutes.
Not far from the Universiade Village there is the Prospekt Pobedy metro station. Within walking distance from the Universiade Village there are sports facilities of the Volga Region Academy of Sports and Tourism - the Burevestnik swimming pool, the Zilant sports complex, the Tennis Academy, the Gymnastics Center, the Badminton Center, and the Educational and Laboratory Building.
The Universiade Village was conceived as a student town, which is currently the largest project of this level in Russia. Its occupancy began on August 30, 2010. Today, students from the Republic of Tatarstan, other regions of Russia, near and far abroad live here.
In the protected area of the Universiade Village there are rental points for sports equipment, sports grounds, cafes, anti-cafes, studios, beauty salons, supermarkets, post offices, and a printing point.
